IC error message on hot tub

IC’ error message

When filling* your hot tub in cold conditions a warning message ‘IC’ or ‘ICE’ may appear. This is to inform you that the water temperature is below 7.2°C (45°F) and open to the risk of freezing.

The hot tub will try to stop the risk of freezing by turning on the pump (second pump and blower if fitted) until the spa water has reached a temperature above 7.2°C (45°F) then the second pump and blower will turn off and activate the heater. Note: Pump one will continue to run on low speed to circulate the heated water.

TIP: To help bring the temperature up add a little warm water to the hot tub either by using a bucket or hose until it reaches 7.2°C (45°F).

* IMPORTANT: When you first fill your hot tub never use hot water only cold water.
