Limited warranty
Canadian Spa Co. Manufacturing gives these warranties to the original buyer of its acrylic spas. Patio Spas are not included. In this warranty, "we" and "us" mean Canadian Spa Co. "You" means the original buyer.
Structural warranty: 10 years
We warrant the spa shell against water loss caused by structural failure. This lasts for 10 years from the date the original owner bought the spa. If, in our opinion, the structure is defective, we will repair it or, at our option, replace it. There is no charge to you.
Surface warranty: 2 years
We warrant the acrylic finish against defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date. This includes blistering, cracking and delamination (layers coming apart). If, in our opinion, the surface is defective in this period, we will repair or, at our option, replace the spa shell free of charge.
Plumbing warranty: 2 years
We warrant that the spa's plumbing will stay free from leaks for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Equipment warranty: 2 years
We warrant the equipment pack (pump, heater and control system) against malfunction and defects in materials and workmanship. This lasts for 2 years from the date of purchase.
Skirting warranty
We warrant the wood skirting around the spa to be free from defects in materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. Wood is a natural product and weathers over time. Fading, crazing, cracking or warping of the wood finish is not covered.
Insulated cover warranty: 2 years
We guarantee that the cover you buy is free from defects in materials and workmanship. We warrant the cover for 2 years. If the cover faces harsh conditions, such as extreme weather, it needs regular care or protection. Defects caused by misuse or poor care are not covered.
Who and what this warranty covers
- It applies to portable spas made after 1 January 2020 and sold by authorised Canadian Spa Co. dealers to home customers.
- It is given only to the first retail buyer. It ends if the spa changes owner.
- It applies only to spas installed at a single-family home. It becomes void if the spa is used commercially.
This warranty does not cover:
- light bulbs, light lens covers or filters
- accessories fitted by a dealer
- the cost of installing, removing or shipping the spa
We may decide the spa must be moved for repair, or replaced. If so, you pay all the costs of removing and replacing it. This includes removing, changing or replacing landscaping, decking, fencing or other structures. It also includes any other cost of getting access to the spa.
Terms, conditions and limitations
The warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by installation, alteration or repair by anyone who is not our employee or an authorised service technician.
The warranty becomes void if the spa has been subject to:
- misuse or abuse
- alteration, or attempted alteration
- repairs, or attempted repairs, by anyone other than an authorised Canadian Spa Co. service technician
- incorrect installation
- incorrect water chemistry
- incorrect maintenance
- acts of God, or damage beyond our control
Misuse and abuse means using the spa in any way other than as set out in the Canadian Spa Co. manual. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Damage to the spa surface from leaving the spa uncovered while it is empty.
- Damage to the spa surface from covering it with any kind of plastic film.
- Damage to the spa surface from contact with cleaners or solvents.
- Damage from running the spa with water colder than 2°C or hotter than 40°C.
- Damage from unapproved sanitisers. These include calcium hypochlorite, tri-chlor chlorine and any sanitising chemical that may stay undissolved on the spa surface.
- Damage from not giving the spa even, adequate support.
How to make a claim
If you find a defect covered by this warranty, tell your authorised Canadian Spa Co. dealer. An authorised service technician will repair the spa under the terms of this warranty. Please take all reasonable steps to protect the spa from further damage.
This warranty covers parts only. It does not include travel or on-site service charges, unless you bought a Service Contract from Canadian Spa Co. Ltd. If your spa is outside the nearest technician's service area, we or the technician may charge reasonable travel costs.
Disclaimers
We and our authorised service technicians are not liable for injury, inconvenience, loss of use, chemical or water damage, transport costs or contingent liabilities. We are also not liable for any other incidental or consequential costs, expenses or damage caused by any actual or alleged fault in the spa.
In no event will our liability, for any reason, be more than the amount paid for the product. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are valid. No agent, dealer, distributor, service company or other party may change, modify or extend this warranty in any way.
This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer and does not affect them.
