20 reasons why you need to buy our spa headrest
Simone AshtonA good headrest makes a real difference to how comfortable a soak feels. This guide explains the types of spa headrest and pillow we sell, which Canadian Spa models each one fits, and how to fit and look after them.
Why a headrest matters in a hot tub
- Neck and head support: a pillow cushions the hard edge of the spa so you can lean back and relax.
- A seat anywhere: a weighted headrest lets you make any spot comfortable, not just the moulded seats.
- Replacing a worn pillow: original pillows wear over time, and a matched replacement restores the comfort and look of your spa.
- Extra features: some replacement pillows include an LED light.
Types of headrest
| Type | How it stays in place | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Weighted headrest | A long weighted tail lies across the top of the spa edge | Any seat, portable and acrylic spas |
| Replacement bread or U-shape pillow | Fits the pillow position on specific models | Replacing a worn original pillow |
| Full pillow set | Replaces every pillow on a specific model | Older spas where all the pillows are worn |
Universal weighted headrests
The weighted spa headrest (black, rounded) costs £25 and works with both portable and acrylic spas. According to the product page:
- The weighted end lies across the top of the spa and stops the pillow moving while you relax.
- It is ergonomically shaped to support your neck and head.
- It is made from durable, weather-resistant marine-grade vinyl.
- It dries quickly and has a smooth surface that is easy to wipe clean.
- It can be removed when not in use, which helps it last longer.
- It measures 29 x 14 x 7 cm.
There is also a rectangular weighted headrest in black with logo, also £25.
How to fit a weighted headrest
- Choose the seat you want to use.
- Lay the pillow against the inside of the spa edge with the weighted tail over the top, outside the water.
- Adjust it so it meets the back of your neck.
- Lift it out after your soak if the spa will not be used for a while.

Choosing the right one
- Find your spa's model name and roughly when it was made.
- Check the tables above. Some models appear under more than one pillow because styles changed over the years, so compare the shape of your current pillow with the product photos.
- If you only want extra comfort at any seat, choose a weighted headrest.
- If you are unsure, call us on 01293 824094 with your model and a photo of the old pillow.
Care
- Wipe pillows clean with a soft cloth.
- Take removable headrests out when the spa is not in use to help them last longer.
Sitting too low to reach the pillow?
Our water-filled booster seat cushion (£12.95) adds 8 to 13 cm of height, so your neck lines up with the headrest.
