The sun is climbing higher, the days are stretching longer, and gardens are waking up. Spring is the perfect moment to create new rituals, and few are more rewarding than building a wellness spot of your own outdoors. With the Grand Rapids portable hot tub from Canadian Spa, your terrace or garden becomes a true relaxation corner without any of the hassle of a permanent installation. Quick to set up, easy to relocate, and ready to use straight away, it's tailor-made for those spontaneous spring moments.

Wellness under the open sky

After a long winter, the body craves warmth and gentle movement. An inflatable hot tub delivers exactly that: mild spring air, plants coming back to life around you, and warm water easing tension out of tired muscles. A garden hot tub stops being just a comfort feature, it becomes a daily quality-of-life upgrade.

A closer look at the Grand Rapids

This model was designed to balance comfort, function, and modern looks.

  • Room for shared moments. It comfortably seats several people, making it ideal for quiet evenings as a couple, family time, or relaxed get-togethers with friends. It quickly becomes the natural focal point of any garden.
  • Powerful massage system. Strong air jets deliver an even massage that helps relax muscles, ease post-workout or post-gardening soreness, and support recovery after long workdays. The combination of warmth and massage stimulates circulation and aids regeneration.
  • Integrated heating. A robust heating unit keeps water at your preferred temperature even on cooler spring nights. Paired with a high-quality insulating cover, it retains heat longer, uses energy more efficiently, and trims running costs.
  • Intuitive controls. A clear digital panel handles temperature, massage, and filtration with a single touch, comfort without complicated tech.

Quick to set up, free to move

No special wiring, no construction, no electrician. Place it on your terrace, in the garden, or on any stable flat surface, your wellness corner goes wherever you want it.

A stylish centrepiece outdoors

The clean, understated design slots neatly into minimalist patios, naturalistic gardens, or compact urban courtyards alike.

Backed by reliable after-sales service

A point that's easy to overlook when buying a portable hot tub is what happens after the purchase. Canadian Spa keeps Grand Rapids spare parts and components in stock, which means fast availability, expert advice, professional support, and long-term peace of mind.

Built with energy efficiency in mind

Combined with a quality cover, the Grand Rapids reduces heat loss, limits evaporation, runs fewer heating cycles, and lowers operating costs, making it not just a luxury, but a sustainable one.

More than a product

A hot tub is a place to unwind and a place to get together, a place for conversation, for genuine relaxation, and for new spring rituals at home. The Grand Rapids gives you a way to deliberately pause your day, slow down, and create real moments with yourself or with the people you love.

Bottom line

Flexibility, comfort, strong massage, energy efficiency, modern design, and reliable after-sales support, the perfect spring upgrade and a companion for many easy evenings to come.

The air jets make bubbles in the water; they are not pumped water jets like those on an acrylic spa. Check each product page for dimensions, water capacity and electrical requirements before ordering.

Setting up, step by step

  1. Choose a flat, level, solid spot that can take the weight of the filled spa, close to a suitable outdoor socket. Clear away anything sharp.
  2. Lay down the ground mat if one is supplied.
  3. Unfold the spa and inflate it as the instructions describe.
  4. Fit the filter and connect the control unit.
  5. Fill with a hose to the marked level.
  6. Plug into a suitable outdoor socket. Don't use an extension lead.
  7. Fit the cover, switch the heater on and balance the water.

Running costs

Heating cost depends on the water volume, how much you raise it and your tariff. The energy needed is litres x temperature rise x 4.186 / 3,600 in kWh. As an illustration, raising 700 litres by 1°C takes about 0.81 kWh, or around 21p at the October to December 2026 Ofgem cap rate of 26.32p per kWh. Inflatable walls lose heat faster than an insulated acrylic cabinet, so keep the cover on and strapped down. A floating thermal blanket (£13.99) under the cover helps too.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it in winter?

Check the operating limits in the instructions. In cold weather, heat-up is slower and heat loss is higher.

What if it gets a puncture?

Small holes can be fixed with a vinyl repair kit (£9.99).

Do I need chemicals?

Yes. Keep pH at 7.2 to 7.6, total alkalinity at 80 to 120 ppm and free chlorine at 1.0 to 1.5 ppm, as with any hot tub.

Is there a bundle?

The 2026 Grand Rapids bundle (£399) adds chemicals, steps and a spa ball.
