Outdoor saunas at this size — proper barrel builds in Thermo Spruce — sit in the £5,500–£9,000 bracket once you add a stove. The Outdoor Oval Barrel is £3,998.00, and it gets there without cutting the bits that matter. This is the top of the Canadian Spa Co. sauna range: the indoor Tremblant and Chilliwack both step down from here.
The flagship feature is dual heating. On one side sits a 3,000 W traditional Finnish-style electric stove with a rock tray — pour water on the rocks for löyly steam, run it up to typical Finnish-sauna temperatures of 80–90 °C. On the other side, 6 carbon FAR infrared heaters (1,260 W total, low-EMF carbon construction) deliver gentle radiant heat into the body at 45–60 °C — the detox session, not the blast-furnace session. Run either alone for a different experience, or run both together for the fastest heat-up. Digital control panel with independent timers for each system.
The cabinet is Thermo Spruce — thermally-modified spruce, heat-treated to pull out moisture and sugars so it stays dimensionally stable through the UK rain/frost/UV cycle. Resistant to warping, checking and biological attack. Not cedar — we don't sell cedar products, and Thermo Spruce is the correct outdoor spec for year-round UK use. Oval barrel shape: better air circulation, faster heat-up than a rectangular cabin, and twin benches running along both long sides so two to four adults sit facing each other. External 184.3 × 120 × 194.5 cm, ships flat-packed on a 360 kg pallet. Electrical is two feeds: a plug-and-play 13 A outdoor socket for the infrared, plus a separately-installed 13 A hardwired RCD-protected feed for the traditional stove (local electrician). Running cost at 2026 UK rates (27p/kWh) runs roughly 15p per 45-min IR session, 35–40p per traditional session, ~50–60p typical combined once elements cycle down. Included in the box: wooden bucket, wooden ladle, climate meter, hourglass timer, sauna rocks. 12 months all-in, parts and labour. That's the spec.
