YOUR INSTALLATION/PREPARATION GUIDE

Please note that when we deliver the swim spa it will be on the back of a flatbed truck so will require either a crane or hiab to lift from the back of our truck to your desired location.
We don’t include a hiab/crange in the price of the standard delivery but this should be reassuring as the most local company would normally be the best price, as they are closer to you. Normally a hiab/crane lift company will give you a free quote to do the lift either by doing a free site survey or looking at your property on google maps. It’s worthwhile getting a few quotes as if they don’t have the vehicle to do it or are fully booked they will price themselves out instead of just saying no. All you will need to supply them with is the size and weight of the swim spa.
13ft Swim Spa
Packaged Size L392, W230, D149cm.
Packaged weight: 1160 kg
Although it’s a big lump, the spa is a single lift so the hiab company are normally in and out in 45mins to 1hr so if you can catch them on a back load when they are in the area anyways it should bring down the quotes considerably. As a bench mark a hiab would cost about £200 - £400 and a crane would be £500 - £1500. We are very flexible with the time and date of the delivery so if a certain day and time is cheaper for the hiab we will sync up with that. If you have any questions on this just give me a call on 01293 812 040 and we would be happy to run you through it.
The swim spa requires an electrical cable capable of supplying 50 amps at the spa and we need live , neutral and earth wires available to connect into the spa (cable terminates at the hot tub end). Finally the swim spa requires an 6" concrete base which would need to cover the footprint of the spa.
Reviews:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the St Lawrence swim Spa which we have enjoyed using for about a year. We have been very pleased with it in all respects I have arthritis and I was due for a back operation this year. By using the spa for swimming and water exercise recommended by my physiotherapist, I have been able to strengthen the back and no longer need the operation. The delivery was very efficient and the set up worked very well. The delivery driver was very professional and we were amazed that one man could unload, position and set up such a big spa - Chris Gittins |
Buying the swimspa has been a hugely popular decision in our house. It was easy to set up (once the terror of having it craned in over our mid-terrace house had passed) and we have enjoyed it pretty much ever since. It's brilliant because you can heat it to near bath temperature, which suits my still traumatised by his public school out-door swimming pool husband, and also allows you to enjoy it pretty much all year round. The kids adore the extra space to play in - it takes the swimspa from just being a bath outside (aka hot-tub) to a great play and exercise environment for the whole family. Throw in a multi-coloured light system, MP3 dock and speakers and a cold glass of wine and there is no longer any reason to leave the garden. The exercise function works really well - I swim at Masters level and find that for a general maintenance work out it's fine - in fact swimming against a current really tires you out quickly. I would suggest that all small people are removed from the spa before you swim as they try to move about and end up getting booted! Canadian Spa have been really good about helping us with queries - addressing any issues (like - How do I make this bit work?) quickly and with considerable patience. The only thing that I think could be done a little better would be including or providing a manual that tells you what knob does what - it's a bit trial and error to start off with. We're really pleased with our swim-spa and definitely feel it has enhanced our living environment. Our garden is not big - my advice would be that if you are considering a hot-tub, go for the swim-spa if you can - it's just so much better! - Samantha Gautama |
Great Company, great swim spa. My St Lawrence 13ft swim spa has been a fantastic purchase. Great build quality, great design. I bought the spa mainly for swimming to keep fit, the swim jets work extremely well. Easy to control the swim current. Great for all levels of swimmer. I have been impressed by Canadian Spa as a company. Knowledgeable and professional delivery and installation staff, who made the whole process painless. - Ian, Kent |
My Husband and I believe this swim spa is the best investment we have ever made. We did our due diligence and after many hours of research, we finally settled on the St. Lawrence 13 ft. Swim Spa made by The Canadian Spa Co. We are very glad we purchased this swim spa as it is perfect for us. I am able to do aqua-fit and yoga exercises quite comfortably in it. The fact that it is 54” deep while most other competitors are only 48”, This makes exercising much easier. I am in it every day. I love to exercise in it because it doesn’t hurt! It is so much easier on my joints. I have better mobility, flexibility and balance. I also have lost 10 lbs. It is the perfect length for the two of us but can easily accommodate the kids and grandkids as well. The speakers and lights are a bonus. We have had excellent service from the service department. All our questions are answered promptly and courteously. We have owned pools before but having a swim spa is by far better than having a pool or a hot tub. It is the best of both worlds which allows us to swim, exercise and get powerful muscle massages. It’s no wonder that most of the professional teams have one in their fitness rooms. We keep it at a mean temperature of 92 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows us to spend whatever time we like in the spa rather than having to exit after 15 minutes for the traditional hot tub. We love it, love it, love it! Sheila M |
