Weather Resistant

Built of sturdy and durable Lucite acrylic, your spa’s shell is made to withstand years of outdoor life - both through the coldest depths of winter and the heavy heat of summer. Our spas are able to withstand almost any weather conditions and are suitable for outdoor use all year round.

Self-Cleaning

Never worry about your spa’s hygiene with Canadian Spa’s Mountain Pure™ sanitation system. 50ft² of filtration sifts contaminants from the water and in combination with the ozone purification system ensures your spa is always filled with crystal clear water. The Lucite acrylic shell is made with Microban to inhibit the growth of bacteria, leaving your spa cleaner for longer. Water is filtered before reaching critical components to reduce the risk of damage.

Energy Efficient

With a unique combination of innovations, the ThermalSprings™ Heat Reclamation System is designed to save money and energy by preventing heat loss and recycling sanitised water. High-density foam constructed of closed cells within the spa shell aids the active motor heat-retention to reduce heat loss through the acrylic shell. The 2kW Balboa heater is equipped with accurate smart sensors, able to shut off the heater within half a degree of your desired temperature. High-quality triple-layer insulation with infra-red reflection and thermal transfer blocks are present on the shell, cabinet and base of the spa. A Canadian Spa 5” thick hard-top winter-suitable cover with a 3” taper and locking straps is included with the spa.

Our installation delivery service for +£599 requires an existing level patio or a 15cm concrete base that can support the weight of the filled spa and persons using it. A 230V/32A RCD breaker and cable must be fitted prior to delivery. There must be a clear route from the street to the installation location (3m height, 1m width).

Installation delivery charges do not include crane hire or road closures should they be required. For your spa to be installed on the day of delivery, you must arrange for a qualified electrician present at delivery and must sign off on the installation before the spa is used.

Our kerbside delivery option does not come with installation - the spa will be delivered to the location address and unloaded onto the driveway or other suitably safe area.

What does an Ozone Water Care System do?

An Ozone Water Care System operates with an Ozonator unit that produces ozone bubbles that are injected into the spa water. The ozone, through the process of oxidation, removes contaminants such as lotions, detergents and organic waste out of the spa water – improving water quality.

Do more jets mean a better spa?

The number of jets has no impact on the performance of the spa - this is determined by the number and horsepower of the spa’s pumps (circulation and air pumps excluded). A more powerful pump will result in a higher pressure per jet - and a deeper massage.

Should I go for one or two pumps?

A single pump spa will provide a gentle massage across all the seats. For a stronger massage, all the power can be diverted to one side of the spa, imitating a twin pump set-up. This works best when there are only a few people are in the spa, as the other side of the spa will have no jets functioning. A twin pump spa has a dedicated pump for each side of the spa. This is designed for hydrotherapy, allowing you to receive a deep-tissue hydro massage without having to shut off the other seats. You can always turn down a more powerful spa, but you cannot add a pump to a single pump spa. This is an important decision when considering a spa.

Should the spa be turned off when not in use?

No. Canadian Spas are designed to be left on, at the desired temperature, all the time. The heavy duty insulation and thermal cover will keep the water hot with minimal energy consumption. This means the spa is always on and ready, whenever you are.

Can the spa be delivered to the backyard or deck?

Purchasing the upgraded installation service for +£599 entails a full installation and set-up of the spa in your desired location. Otherwise, the spa will only be delivered to the front of your driveway.

What type of foundation is required for the spa?

Your new spa needs a good solid foundation. The area your spa sits on must be able to support the spa, the water in it and those who use it. If the foundation is inadequate, it may shift or settle after the spa is in place, causing stress to the shell or components. Please refer to the spa owner’s manual for additional information.

Reviews:

I spent a long time researching hot tubs and spas before I finally decided on purchasing a hot tub from Canadian Spa. I was reassured by the positive online reviews, their dealer network, their presence in major retail outlets and their excellent UK based customer support provided by Xavier Labelle. All my questions and concerns were effectively and promptly replied to. I had also heard that hot tubs and spas manufactured by Canadian Spa used top quality spa components and were built to withstand harsh Canadian winters. To this extent I have not been disappointed with my Canadian Spa Okanagan hot tub.

In terms of delivery the whole process was very simple and once payment was made a mutually agreeable delivery date was arranged. The hot tub arrived on time and the driver rang about 30 minutes prior to delivery. The hot tub was very well packaged and supported in an upright position on a pallet by a metal cage and protective cushioned packaging.

I have to say my first impression of the Okanagan was very positive. It needed a few adults to move the hot tub to the rear of the property, but the size of this hot tub means that it can be fairly easily moved through gates to the rear of a property. Once unpackaged the quality of the tub could be seen. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I was originally going to purchase the Swift foam Spa from Canadian Spa, but due to a very good deal I have got the Okanagan and matching furniture set for a very competitive price. I am so glad I did, I would recommend anyone considering a portable hot tub to consider the Okanagan hot tub. It feels robust and substantial, yet can still be moved fairly easily if required at a later date.

Once operational, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the spa heated up, this may be due to the fact the Okanagan is one of the smaller hot tubs so there is less volume of water to heat. To heat up 24°C the spa took around 7.5 hours in January. On my electric tariff with a standing charge of 16.05p per kWh, this cost about £2.40 to give an indication of what the heat up costs could be. This was a much quicker heat up time than I had been told. So to heat up from 0°C to 36°C could cost around £3.60 on a similar tariff in around 11 hours.

In terms of operating the Spa, since the Okanagan is a new model the instructions in the owner’s manual did not cover the operation of the control panel, however all my questions were promptly and effectively answered by Xavier Labelle. He also sent useful links to video clips showing the operation of the spa. I have been reassured the manual and website will reflect the addition of the Okanagan in the future. Once using the spa, I found the jets very good and the different colour choice of lighting was a very nice touch on a night. At 5 ft 8" I found the seating position comfortable, but for taller people who like to fully extend their legs I would probably recommend a larger spa/hot tub. The Spa has so far only been used by 2 people at a time. I would personally say the spa is an ideal size for couples but those who want to use a spa regularly with 4 people I would suggest looking at a larger size spa if you like plenty of space.

To sum up in my experience so far I would definitely recommend Canadian Spa to anyone considering a hot tub/spa. The quality of the spas/hot tubs can easily be seen first-hand by visiting B&Q or Homebase to name a few of the retailers. The customer support is first rate direct from Canadian Spa UK via Xavier Labelle. If you are considering a portable foam/inflatable spa I would certainly recommend that you consider spending a little more and look at Okanagan before making your final purchase. The longer lifespan and lower running costs may work out cheaper in long run, and the quality is first rate, it feels very substantial.

We love your products, we have purchased over a year ago 3 Okanagan hot tubs for our luxury 5 red star property.

Canadian Spa offer some seriously luxurious tubs, which not only look fantastic but have a range of hydrotherapy features.

After year of use we are very happy with the product, our hot tubs are in constant use but due to the durability and build quality we had no maintenance issues with them at all. Each tub from Canadian Spa comes with a cover, the Okanagan has LED lighting and you can change, colours and temperature with the user friendly control panel.
