What comes with the spa? What else is needed?
The Okanagan comes with a hard top insulating cover, installed filter and kerbside delivery to a UK address. The Okanagan does not come with steps, chemicals, furniture seen in some of the photos or installation as standard. There are several chemical and step options available to purchase online, however if looking to add either delivery and install (including a starter chemical kit) or the 5 piece furniture set that includes a step that contours to the shape of the spa these are options at +£500 each which can be selected from the drop down box before adding the Okanagan to checkout.
What does an Ozone Water Care System do?
An Ozone Water Care System operates with an Ozonator unit that produces ozone bubbles that are injected into the spa water. The ozone, through the process of oxidation, removes contaminants such as lotions, detergents and organic waste out of the spa water – improving water quality.
Should the spa be turned off when not in use?
No. Canadian Spas are designed to be left on, at the desired temperature, all the time. The heavy duty insulation and thermal cover will keep the water hot with minimal energy consumption. This means the spa is always on and ready, whenever you are.
Can the spa be delivered to the backyard or deck?
No. The spa is only delivered to the Kerbside in front of the driveway. However we do offer an upgraded installation service for +£500
What type of foundation is required for the spa?
Your new spa needs a good solid foundation. The area your spa sits on must be able to support the spa, the water in it and those who use it. If the foundation is inadequate, it may shift or settle after the spa is in place, causing stress to the shell or components. Please refer to the spa owner’s manual for additional information.
Do I need any specialty wiring or plumbing?
No. The Okanagan can be plugged into any standard outdoor outlet capable of supply 13amps at the spa (peak draw). No additional wiring or plumbing is required.

“I spent a long time researching hot tubs and spas before I finally decided on purchasing a hot tub from Canadian Spa. I was reassured by the positive online reviews, their dealer network, their presence in major retail outlets and their excellent UK based customer support provided Xavier Labelle. All my questions and concerns were effectively and promptly replied to. I had also heard that hot tubs and spas manufactured by Canadian Spa used top quality spa components and were built to withstand harsh Canadian winters. To this extent I have not been disappointed with my Canadian Spa Okanagan hot tub.
In terms of delivery the whole process was very simple and once payment was made a mutually agreeable delivery date was arranged. The hot tub arrived on time and the driver rang about 30 minutes prior to delivery. The hot tub was very well packaged and supported in an upright position on a pallet by a metal cage and protective cushioned packaging.
I have to say my first impression of the Okanagan was very positive. It needed a few adults to move the hot tub to the rear of the property, but the size of this hot tub means that it can be fairly easily moved through gates to the rear of a property. Once unpackaged the quality of the tub could be seen. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I was originally going to purchase the Swift foam Spa from Canadian Spa, but due to a very good deal I have got the Okanagan and matching furniture set for a very competitive price. I am so glad I did, I would recommend anyone considering a portable hot tub to consider the Okanagan hot tub. It feels robust and substantial, yet can still be moved fairly easily if required at a later date.
Once operational I was pleasantly surprised how quickly the spa heated up, this may be due to the fact the Okanagan is one of the smaller hot tubs so there is less volume of water to heat. To heat up 24 c the spa took around 7.5 hours in January. On my electric tariff with a standing charge of 16.05 p per kWh this cost about £2.40 to give an indication of what the heat up costs could be. This was a much quicker heat up time than I had been told. So to heat up from 0c to 36c could cost around £3.60 on a similar tariff in around 11 hours. In terms of operating the Spa, since the Okanagan is a new model the instructions in the owner’s manual did not cover the operation of the control panel, however all my questions were promptly and effectively answered by Xavier Labelle, he also sent useful links to video clips showing the operation of the spa. I have been reassured the manual and website will reflect the addition of the Okanagan in the future. Once using the spa I found the jets very good and the different colour choice of lighting was a very nice touch on a night. At 5 ft 8 I found the seating position comfortable, but for taller people who like to fully extend their legs I would probably recommend a larger spa/hot tub. The Spa has so far only been used by 2 people at a time. I would personally say the spa is an ideal size for couples but those who want to use a spa regularly with 4 people I would suggest looking at a larger size spa if you like plenty of space.
To sum up in my experience so far I would definitely recommend Canadian Spa to anyone considering a hot tub / spa. The quality of the spas/hot tubs-can be easily seen first-hand by visiting B&Q or Homebase to name a few of the retailers. The customer support is first rate direct from Canadian Spa UK via Xavier Labelle. If you are considering a portable foam/inflatable spa I would certainly recommend that you consider spending a little more and look at Okanagan before making your final purchase. The longer lifespan and lower running costs may work out cheaper in long run, and the quality is first rate, it feels very substantial.”
