§ 01 · THE NIAGARA

The best spa
we build.
Period.

The Niagara is bigger, deeper and more powerful than anything else in our range — including the much-loved London SE (2 × 5HP, 213 × 213 × 87 cm), which on spec alone punches well above its price. The London SE is the all-round spa we engineer to reach the widest group of households; it stays at a price point that works for most gardens. The Niagara is the one we build when that brief is lifted and we can put everything on the table.

That means two 5HP pumps plus a heated air blower, 60 adjustable jets, a 12-jet corner Captain's chair that will find whatever ache you walked in with, and — the feature we love most — diverter valves that let you divert the full output of both pumps into one half of the tub. Two-pump pressure, four-pump feel, all onto your back. It's the closest thing to a personal chiropractor session you'll have at home. Our only advice: hold on.

The extra 12 cm of depth over the London SE lets you submerge your shoulders and neck properly, and the plateau of step seats above lets anyone who wants to cool off sit higher in the water without leaving the tub. 100 ft² of Microban Glacier filtration paired with a built-in ozone generator keeps the water clean, and the winter-rated hardtop cover locks the heat in across British seasons. The rule of thumb with spas: if space isn't the constraint, go for the bigger one. This is the bigger one.

§ 02 · Engineered In Detail

Every feature earning its place.

This is our flagship. Every detail dialled up from the rest of the range: two 5HP pumps plus a heated air blower, 60 jets, diverter valves, a 12-jet corner Captain's, plateau cool-down seats, and the deepest soak we build.

01 · HYDROTHERAPY
60jets
Two Pumps + Air Blower + Diverter

60 adjustable hydro-massage jets on a WhiteWater™ delivery system, fed by two independent 5HP pumps plus a heated air blower. The killer feature: diverter valves that let you send the full output of both pumps into half the tub. Two-pump pressure, four-pump feel, all onto your back — the closest thing to a personal chiropractor session you'll have at home.

02 · SANITATION
O3
Built-In Ozone

A built-in ozone generator neutralises bacteria continuously as the water circulates — keeping the water crystal clear with far fewer chemicals than traditional dosing. Paired with 100 ft² of Microban Glacier filtration, the tub looks after itself between soaks.

03 · FILTRATION
100ft²
Microban Glacier

The Niagara ships with 100 ft² of filtration — two 50 ft² Microban Glacier cartridges installed. Microban-infused media inhibits bacterial growth on the filter itself for the life of the cartridge, and water is filtered before reaching critical components to reduce the risk of damage.

04 · LIGHTING
colours
Aurora™ LED System

Full multi-zone control: perimeter waterline lights, large underwater LEDs, and an LED-backlit cascading waterfall. Shift the mood from soak to swim to sleep with the touch of a button.

05 · HEAT RETENTION
3kW
Balboa Smart Heating

3kW Balboa heater with smart sensors — shuts off within half a degree of your target. Triple-layer insulation with infra-red reflection and thermal transfer blocks on shell, cabinet and base.

06 · CONTROLS
BP
Balboa BP Controls

An extra-large overlay pad adjusts jets, pumps and temperature with a single touch. Reliable, responsive, and easy to use wet-handed — the control system trusted across the spa industry for decades.

07 · AUDIO
2×
Bluetooth Speakers

Two slow-rise waterproof retractable speakers with built-in high-fidelity amplifiers deliver clear acoustics at volume — pair your phone from anywhere in the garden.

08 · ENERGY
72hr
ThermalSprings™

Our Heat Reclamation System prevents heat loss and recycles sanitised water. High-density closed-cell foam in the shell captures motor waste heat — warming the water, not the outside air.

§ 03 · The Finish

Why we only
do one colour.

Most hot tub brands offer four or five shell colours. We offer one — a white shell with an understated marbling through it, paired with a dark brown cabinet that matches the cover. It isn't a compromise. It's the answer we arrived at after years of watching owners live with their spas.

01

No weekly wipe-down.

Calcium builds up at the waterline on every hot tub — that's just hot water chemistry. On dark shells, you see it. You end up wiping the tub down on a regular basis to keep it looking respectable. On our marbled white, the calcium is still there, but it disappears into the finish. Most people buy a hot tub to take away their stress, not to give themselves a part-time job wiping it down. That's the main reason we landed on white.

02

The lighting comes alive at night.

The Aurora™ LED package — perimeter lights, large underwater LEDs, and the LED-backlit cascading waterfall — was designed to wash colour across the shell. A white marbled interior picks up and carries every hue. On a dark shell, the lights just sit there. On this one, they paint the whole tub.

03

Built to sit with garden furniture.

The dark brown cabinet is colour-matched to the cover, and the pairing is designed to sit naturally alongside rattan — the most common garden furniture choice in a British back garden. It's not trying to be a feature. It's trying to blend in.

§ 04 · Seating Layout

Seven seats.
Deeper than the rest.

Every seat in the Niagara has been placed with the body in mind — where your armrests naturally fall, how deep you sit, and which muscle group meets which jet cluster. What makes this spa different is the extra depth: 99 cm lets you submerge shoulders and neck fully, and the plateau of step seats above lets anyone who wants to cool off sit higher without leaving the tub.

  • 01 / CORNER CAPTAIN'S · 12 JETS
    12-Jet Corner Captain's Chair

A deep corner Captain's chair with twelve targeted jets — upper back, shoulders, lower back, hips, calves and soles. Wherever you walked in with an ache, one of these jets will find its mark. Pair this seat with the diverter valve set to its side and you'll feel the full output of both 5HP pumps concentrated on your back. Favourite seat in the spa; most nights you'll be politely waiting your turn.

  • 02 / PLATEAU COOL-DOWN SEATS
    Plateau Step Seats

A plateau of raised step seats sits above the deeper footwell. Use them to cool off without getting out — shoulders above the waterline, legs in warm water — or as a sociable perch when kids and grandkids are in the tub. The step structure also doubles as a walk-in path to the deeper seats below.

  • 03 / DEEP FOOTWELL SEATS
    Deep Bench Positions

Around the main footwell, deep bench positions let you sit fully submerged with your neck at the waterline — impossible on the shallower tubs in the range. Targeted jet clusters fire into the lower back, hips and calves. Three or four people can soak across the well without anyone being in anyone's way.

— A note on fit

The Niagara seats six to seven adults comfortably in a 228 × 228 cm footprint. At 99 cm deep it's 12–17 cm deeper than the rest of the range — enough to make a real difference for taller frames, and the reason several owners have written in to say "finally, my shoulders are actually under the water." If you want a similar spec at a lower price with the same 2 × 5HP dual-pump setup but without the air blower or diverter valves, take a look at the London SE. Not sure? Book a showroom visit and sit in both.

"Deeper than any spas we've seen."

I was looking to buy the Thunder Bay, which is also a great spa, but my husband and children are all well over 6ft tall. We were shown the Niagara when we visited the office in Redhill for a wet test, and it was perfect. It's deeper than any spas we've seen and is full of all the features you'd expect from a far more expensive model. We're delighted with every aspect of this spa and the powerful jets give you a total body experience that's not to be missed. I'm only 5ft 4" but can sit comfortably in every seat and my grandson loves the extra deep water in the middle. There's plenty of room for all our family and we're getting more visits than we've ever had before! From the moment I contacted Canadian Spa, I felt I was in safe hands. The experienced salesman talked to us about things we hadn't even considered and our brains were working overtime by the time we left. The delivery men were fantastic and gave us lots of tricks and tips for using the spa, whilst it was filling up. Then patiently explained how to use the chemicals. In fact from start to finish, I could not fault the service we received and would recommend that anyone considering purchasing a spa, buy from Canadian Spa. Like me, you'll be glad you did!

"Exceeded my expectations."

Wow! The Niagara has exceeded my expectations, I never realised what an improvement it would make to our quality of life. From enjoying the trees, clouds and stars far more than we ever have before to giving us the best nights sleeps we've ever had. I was pleasantly surprised with the integral lighting how tasteful it is and how it becomes more effective as the sun goes down. Gary was amazing, it didn't matter how difficult the task was, and mine was, his only comment was that "it was challenging!" So reassuring to have your spa installed in such a calm and professional manner, a task which would have proved very daunting for most people. So glad I opted for the Niagara — for a 6'2, 18 stone man it is a perfect fit. I love it even when I have to share it with the rest of my family. Thank you for bringing a Canadian Spa into our lives, already I have witnessed stressed friends visibly relax before my eyes by simply sharing a spa experience with them at my home.

"Most straight talking, non-pushy company we contacted."

Choosing a hot tub is not an easy task, there are a myriad of options, jets, pumps, sizes and configurations to take into consideration. We started our research into this and found out that there is a plethora of information out there, and that the more information we had the harder our decision was becoming. We contacted a number of Companies, and found that the most straight talking, informative and non pushy was The Canadian Spa Company. The chap there took time to understand what we wanted to use the Hot Tub for, our expectations in terms of power and flexibility of functionality in the different seats/positions, and after a couple of calls we reached a decision on what it was that would suits our needs. It has to be said that what we thought we initially wanted in terms of style and shape was very different to what we ended up with. We bought the Niagara model, which was delivered and installed a few weeks ago. The guys who carried out the installation were really friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable about the product, and in no time at all our hot tub was filled up and ready to be switched on. Even though we have only had the hot tub for a few weeks, it has already become an important part of our daily routine. We are both working from home, and nothing beats sinking into the warm bubbles to relax after a day of skype and zoom calls. I would happily recommend The Canadian Spa Company based on the service we have received and the product choice we made.

"Absolutely brilliant, has everything you could need or want."

Thank you Canadian Spa! What a wonderfully amazing hot tub! The Niagara, absolutely brilliant and has everything you could need or want. So many jets and you can have how ever many or few that you want on, great for that all over body massage. Mood lighting, change colour to what you want or have them change on their own. Pop up speakers with lights to match the tub and a waterproof music back so you can plug in and play... Brilliant! And you even get your own waterfall! How great is that! Top mount cover lift, makes it so easy to lift the cover off and put back down — managed it one handed that's how easy it is. The cover comes with lockable clips, easy to lock and easier to undo. And a full set of all the chemicals to get you started! Awesome. Must say a huge huge thank you to the install team. Very polite and courteous. Worked hard and friendly. They attached the cover lift, the strap locks, ran through the chemicals as to how often and when. I seriously could not have asked for more! Amazing job and look forward to many evenings enjoying the Niagara.

"Upgraded after 17 years. A world apart."

I was sitting in my Canadian Spa Toronto on the 7th of April, when I thought that it might be time for an upgrade to a new model to enjoy during the Virus confinement. My Toronto was 17 years of age and still working perfectly, but the wooden case was starting to look a little tired. I had found my spa to be so reliable and the quality of service from Canadian Spa when I needed parts has always been friendly and efficient, a stress free company to deal with. So I obviously decided to purchase from them. I telephoned Xavier and enjoyed an informative chat about the latest models, deciding to order a Niagara hot tub. Six days later on the 13th of April, two chaps from Canadian Spa arrived and installed the new one, taking away the old one for disposal. In under two hours the hot tub was full of water, all the controls demonstrated, and maintenance procedures explained. They were so helpful, the whole process was quick and easy. The new Niagara is a world apart from the previous spa, things having moved on over 17 years. It is so well insulated that it is cheaper to run. I am absolutely delighted and very contented.

§ 08 · Before You Buy

Questions worth asking.

Can I get the Niagara in another colour?

We only ship one finish: a marbled white shell with a dark brown cabinet and brown cover, designed to sit naturally alongside rattan garden furniture. It's a deliberate decision — the white shell hides waterline calcium that you'd otherwise be wiping off a dark shell every week, and it carries the Aurora™ LED lighting far better at night.

A few of our other ranges (Patio Spas, London SE, Erie SE, Alberta and Kingston) ship with black covers — but the Niagara is brown across the board.

How is the Niagara delivered? (please read — HIAB/crane required)

Because of its size and weight (packaged 230 × 240 × 101 cm · 500 kg), the Niagara always ships on a flatbed truck and needs a HIAB or crane to lift it from the back of the lorry onto your base. You arrange the HIAB or crane locally yourself in either option — we don't book the lift, because a local operator near you will nearly always be cheaper than one we'd book from our end. Typical costs: HIAB £200–£400, crane £500–£1,500. Get a few quotes — they'll usually do a free site survey or check your property on Google Maps. The spa is a big lump but it doesn't weigh much compared to a pallet of slate, so the lift itself is normally about 45 minutes on site and they're gone.

Where the two options differ is how flexible the delivery timing is, and that flexibility is what controls the cost of your HIAB:

Option 1 — Free kerbside delivery. A third-party pallet company brings the spa to your kerb on an all-day delivery slot. The challenge: HIAB/crane operators charge by time — without a fixed delivery window, your operator typically has to quote their full day rate to wait through it. Workable if you have a flexible operator happy to sit on standby, but you're not in control of the timing.

Option 2 — Back Garden Installation Service · +£799. We bring the spa to you on our own truck, and we're flexible on the date and timeslot. The play: ring round HIAB/crane firms in your area and ask when they're next on a job nearby — the same size or bigger — that they could piggy-back yours onto. Something like "Wednesday, Thursday or Friday at 2pm in three weeks". We'll sync our delivery to that window. Because the operator is already in the area for another paid job, your lift is a back-load — pure profit for them — which usually brings the quote down significantly versus a dedicated trip out. We arrive 30 minutes before the HIAB so we're on site to receive it. Once your HIAB has lifted the spa onto the base, we:

  • Position the spa on its base
  • Fit the cover lifter
  • Start the fill
  • Walk you through the chemicals and how to use the spa
  • Make a temporary electrical connection (provided your electrician has left the cable in place) so we can test everything is working before we leave

Your electrician then returns to make the permanent connection and sign it off before first use. Lead time for the install option is 3–4 weeks.

Which to choose? If you've already got a HIAB operator you trust who'll work with an all-day pallet window, the kerbside option is the cheapest headline price. For most customers — particularly first-time spa buyers — the +£799 install is the smoother experience: our delivery flexes to a back-load slot your HIAB can quote cheaply, one team on site for the handover, and the spa is filling and tested by the time we leave. Any questions, ring 01293 824 094 — we talk people through this every day.

What base does it need to sit on?

The Niagara needs a 3″ or 4″ thick concrete pad that covers the footprint of the spa — 228 × 228 cm minimum. The base doesn't need to extend beyond the spa itself, though most people find it useful to run it a little wider for a step and chemistry caddy. The pad must be flat and level: the weight of the filled tub (nearly 2,000 kg) unforgivingly finds any unevenness.

Reinforced concrete is standard. Some owners use a large paving-slab base, provided it's on a compacted hardcore subbase and properly level; speak to us if you want to run through your plan before ordering.

How do the filters work, and when do they need replacing?

Your Niagara arrives with two 50 ft² Microban Glacier filters already installed and ready to go — 100 ft² of filtration in total. The filter media is infused with Microban, an antimicrobial agent that inhibits bacterial growth on the filter itself for the full life of the cartridge. Paired with the built-in ozone generator, it means cleaner water with fewer chemicals.

Replacement schedule: we recommend replacing the filters every 4–6 months, or sooner if they look discoloured or worn.

A good trick: keep two sets of filters on rotation, so you can pop in a clean set while you soak and rinse the used set overnight.

Who is the Niagara best suited to?

The Niagara is the best spa we build. Period. It's for households that have the space (228 × 228 cm footprint, plus access for a HIAB) and want the most powerful spa we make — 60 jets, two 5HP pumps plus a heated air blower, a 12-jet corner Captain's chair, diverter valves, and 12 cm of extra depth over the rest of the range.

Our rule of thumb with spas: if space isn't the constraint, go for the bigger one. Depth and jet count matter more than they seem on paper — once you've soaked in a 99 cm tub with your shoulders properly submerged, it's hard to go back. The pumped-up diverter valve hit is something most guests haven't experienced before; be prepared to demo it a lot.

If you want the same dual-pump 2 × 5HP setup at a lower price point — without the air blower, diverter valves, or the extra depth — look at the London SE (213 × 213 × 87 cm). If you want a similar flagship footprint with twin no-float loungers and UV-C sanitation, compare the Vancouver UV. Unsure? Book a showroom visit and sit in all three.

Do I need an annual service to keep the warranty active?

No. Our 2-year parts and labour warranty runs from the date of delivery with no mandatory annual service. Some brands require a paid manufacturer service every year to keep cover active — miss one, warranty voided. We think that's a tax, not a condition.

That said: an annual service is still a good idea for the long-term health of any hot tub. It's a recommendation we'll happily make — it's just not tied to your cover.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Two separate layers, both included as standard:

2 years parts & labour — the shell structure, pump, heater, and control system. If something fails in normal use, we replace the part and fit it, anywhere in the UK.

10 years against water loss through the shell structure — structural protection for the core integrity of the acrylic body.

You can also extend the parts and labour cover by a further 2 years for £850 (this tier; £500 on Patio Spas, £1,200 on Swim Spas). The extension is stackable — buy it twice and you get four additional years — and can be purchased at any point while still under warranty.

What electrical supply do I need?

The Niagara runs on 230 V and needs to be wired to a dedicated 32 A RCD breaker in your consumer unit, via an outside rotary isolator switch. Your electrician runs the cable (typically 6 mm armoured tri-core) from the RCD to the spa, and should leave roughly 5 m of slack outside the footprint of the spa so our installers can bring the armoured tail into the cabinet and connect it on delivery day. None of this kit — the breaker, the isolator, the cable, or the cable gland — is supplied with the spa or brought by our installers; we connect using the tail your electrician leaves. It's a short, straightforward job for any competent spark, but please have them lined up and the cable run ahead of delivery. Electrical connection itself sits outside our delivery and installation service.

How much does the Niagara cost to run?

Running costs depend on your energy tariff, how often you use the spa, and your discipline with the cover. Thanks to the ThermalSprings™ heat reclamation system, triple-layer insulation with infra-red reflection, and the winter-rated hardtop cover, the Niagara is one of the more energy-efficient six-seaters on the market — several owners have specifically called out how efficient and quiet it runs.

Most UK owners report monthly running costs in the region of £60–£75 a month across the year, working out to roughly £2–£2.50 a day. Pairing the spa with our optional Balboa Clim8zone II heat pump typically reduces that further. Speak to the team on 01293 824 094 and we'll model your specific setup.

Is it actually usable all year round?

Yes. The Niagara is built for year-round outdoor use — acrylic shell, triple-layer insulation, and a heat-trapping winter-rated hardtop cover with locking straps. Many owners say a soak on a cold, clear night is the single best argument for owning one.

What's included in the price?

As standard you get the hardtop locking insulating cover, the Aurora™ Premium LED lighting system, the Bluetooth audio system, the two installed Microban Glacier filters, the built-in ozone generator, the aromatherapy canister, all manuals, and free flatbed delivery to mainland UK. The top-mount cover lifter, step and chemical starter kit are available as add-ons. What we don't supply is the HIAB/crane lift (always arranged locally — see the delivery FAQ) or the electrical kit — the 32 A RCD breaker, outside rotary isolator, armoured cable, and cable gland all sit outside our scope and are fitted by your qualified electrician ahead of delivery day.

Can I see it in person?

Yes — please do. Our showroom is at Canada House, Unit 1, Salbrook Road, Redhill, Surrey · RH1 5GL. Ten minutes from Gatwick. Open Monday to Friday 9am–6pm and weekends 10am–4pm. No appointment needed, but booking means we'll try to have the Niagara available to view for you when you arrive.
